Maintaining your strand through the winter

Q&A
Q: How can I prevent my hair from drying, breaking, and splitting in this weather?
A: You should definately see a trusted hair care professional if you are already experiencing any of these conditions. Proper treatments given by a professional and help to combat these conditions. A good stylist will recommend certain products for home maintenance to keep your strands in tack.
As a stylist my personal tips would be as follow.

:Keep a clean scalp, proper cleansing will allow any treatments that are given to penetrate properly.

:Most client have moisture deficiencies and need pre-shampoo treatments with essential oils that are designed to penetrate the hair shaft and will act as a barrier against the stripping affects that some shampoos may have. These oil can also maintain and even eleviate dandruff issues if done on a regular basis.

:Deep conditioning is also a must. Everybody's hair is different there for it is imparative to see a stylist that can let you know what your hair needs most. Moisturizing conditioners are a must have no matter what hair type you have, but the question would be exactly to what extent does your hair need moisture. It is a combination of moisture and protein that keeps our strands healthy. A true hair care pro would know when to use strengthening conditioners and she would also know that most of them need to be balanced out with a moisturizing conditioners. For most strengthening, reconstructors, or rebuilding conditioners although are designed to keep hair strong; they can have the opposite affect if overload on them occurs. An over load will in fact cause your strands to resist flexibility and break because the protein binds too aggressively in the cortex of your hair strand compromising it's elastic abilities.
Know that strength comes from protein and elasticity comes from moisture. These two together are essential to healthy hair.

: Last but not least. After your salon visits you should have a developed regemine for at home maintenence, which should include, keeping your ends moisturized, and wrapping, pincurling, or simply sleeping on a satin pillow case at night. This is essential to preserving your hairstyle and keeping your ends from splitting.  HAIR CARE TIPS FROM MS.MARYAM
